On the outside. I’m the girl with a normal life. And to be honest that is true. My pain isn’t as big as Silver’s or Blue’s or Green’s. No ones. But someone… well he told me that I shouldn’t compare myself with the others.
He said.
My pain is just as real as theirs.
And that he will hold my hand whenever I felt lost or in doubt.
The midnight blue twin tails was sitting down. Her shoulders a bit slouch inwards as she stared down intently. She was in her room, at her house in her hometown Violet City. Her bed had an dark blue and yellow theme to them. There was glow in the dark star stickers on the ceiling. If she looked to her left side there would be window with baby blue see through curtains. Just a little over is her vanity drawer that she used every night whenever she sleeps here of course. If her eyes traveled more, she would see her wooden door and so on
Her eyebrows were having hesitance to knit together in worry. Deep in her sky eyes, she was clearly in an dilemma. She tried to fight off her emotions on her own and yet here she was staring at the pink PokeGear in front of her. With one press with her thumb she would be calling the name on the screen. ‘Idiot‘ was the name of the phone number owner she wanted to call. Her fingers winced, they wanted to press the button but she was holding herself back.
At her side was an Smoochum. She was the girl’s starter Pokémon. An fuchsia color body with pale blonde hair. She had an star pendent that her owner created for her and even through all these years she had not once evolved. She was sort of the assistant in the team, or the cheerleader as some would say. A sigh came from the girl, she was about sixteen years old given due to her figure. “I don’t know. What do you think I should do?”
The ice type shrugged her shoulders. She was sitting down with her tiny legs dangling. “Smoo… smo.. Chum chum chi.”
Hoshiriko Crystal assumed her starter was trying to comfort. She only gave a weak smile and went back to looking at the PokeGear. It was that time of the year again, and instead of asking a certain redhead to be her date. It would be more logical to ask her boyfriend. But she couldn’t, she didn’t want him to know just yet. She wasn’t even sure if their relationship can last. With another sigh Crystal tossed the PokeGear towards her pillow, rolling her eyes. “Forget it. It’s better if I went by myself anyways.”
“Chi.“ Chumee frowned at this. Her trainer fell back to the bed, staring at the ceiling in her princess like bed. She was now thinking about other candidates that can help her out that was male. Maybe Green? Or even Ruby. She completely ignored Chumee’s little death note. At this, the ice type marched over to the PokeGear and started to mess with it. “Hm?”
Crystal got up on her elbow. She raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Hey, what are you doing?” the twin tails sat up, peeking over her Pokémon’s shoulder. Once she saw that the little ice type was looking for the name ‘Idiot’ she flinched and right away tried to take the PokeGear back “What the-HEY give that back!”
“Chi!!“
“Yes!“ Crystal reached out but the ice type was stubborn. Chumee huffed her cheeks and tried to look for the name. during the little frenzy she found it and tried to press the button, before she can though, the twin tails grabbed the PokeGear and tried to yank it away from Chumee’s grip. “Give it!” “Smooch!” “Hananse Chumee-chan!” “Smooochi!”
Click!….beep…. Beep…. Beep.
The two females looked down at the phone. With the mini tug a war, the button to call had been pressed. With pride rising up, Chumee stood tall and proud. Crystal on the other hand looked terrified. “Aaa!! No end call end call!”
“Hello?”
Just right before the Capturer’s finger can press the reject button. The Smoochum hoped off the bed and walked away letting herself out. Crystal shut her eyes, trying to gain some self control talk to the boy. “… Gold.”
“Aaahhh shit what I do this time?”
An angry mark from Crystal. The twin tails inhaled sharply trying to hold her shouts in. “What, can a girl call her boyfriend for the hell of it?”
“Well, yes. But that’s so out of character for you ahahah~“
“Do you want me to hang up?”
“I’m sorry--I’m sorry--sorry sorry.”
Crystal groaned and looked towards her Vanity Dresser. Near the edge was an bottle of stardust. The twin tails went on her feets and gently walked over to the little bottle with the sand in it. “… Hey.”
“Yeah? Something you needed?”
“…Sort of. I just… I need to tell you something.” she picked up the bottle and brought it towards the window. Holding it up to her eyes and making sure to block out the sun the sand started to glow, shine and sparkle all kinds of colors. She let out a quiet chuckle. “And I also need to ask you something.”
“Oh~? Are you proposing?”
“Do you want me to kick you?”
“I’m sorry--I’m sorry--sorry sorry.”
“She’s going to hit you the more you apologize like that.”
Crystal paused. She knew this second voice. “Silver? Ahha is that you?”
“Yeah.”
“Huh… am I on speaker?”
“Pft, what? No you’re not. Silver’s just eavesdropping.”
“He’s lying, you’re on speaker.”
“WHY DO YOU MAKE MY LIFE HARDER THAN IT SHOULD BE?!”
“You really want to talk about that right now?”
“Oh ‘cause THAT’S a good sign.”
“You should warn me ahead of time so that I can get my folder of reasons.”
“AH-HAH. The jerk has a sense of humor.”
“Never did say I didn’t. you just assumed.”
“It’s aalllways the quiet ones eh?”
Crystal couldn’t help but laugh at the two. She was feeling much better than she was before. Looking at the stardust again, she was confident now. She was going to tell Gold the truth about her father. How he wasn’t traveling but instead, he was actually dead and had been for a good set amount of years. She walked backed to the bed and sat down, listening to the bickering of the two boys. Later one carrying out a normal conversation with the Hatcher as he walked over to her place. If she was going to make this work, she needed to tell him everything.
Her pain, her suffering, her past and how she is ready to make a future with him. After months of pondering if she should go through with this, a relationship everyone expect Blue and Silver calls ‘An giant mistake.’ She would have build trust, and get herself familiarized with each other. Gold had already spilled almost everything on his side, now it was her turn to give him some details that he didn’t already know.
On the outside. I’m the girl with a normal life. And to be honest that is true. My pain isn’t as big as Red’s or Yellow’s or Gold’s. No ones. But that doesn’t mean my pain isn’t real. It hurts just as much as anyone else. It may be a weak reason to be depressed about, but he never said that.
He said
My pain is just as real as others.
And that he will hold my hand whenever I felt lost or in doubt. And I… I chose to believe him on that.
